Bay Area Golf
Is a group of individuals (Men & Women) who enjoy playing golf in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. We play normally every thursday at premier golf courses in the area and at some of the best rates in the area. Check out the most recent upcoming tee times, events and current rates at:

Players of all levels are welcome to join the group. There are no dues or joining fees. Play is based on a quota system for each individual. So each golfer is actually trying to beat his or her own best scores. All players that score better than their average quota will be winners. Players must play a minimum of 3 rounds to establish a quota. Quotas are based on a modified Stableford system as follows:
6 points for an Eagle on any hole
4 points for a Birdie on any hole
2 points for a Par on any hole
1 point for a Bogey on any hole
The points are then added up for each round. After 3 rounds a quota is established which consist of the average of those 3 rounds. These averages will be maintained for 10 rounds for each player with the oldest score dropping off after 10 rounds have been completed. So the average will always be the average of a players most recent 10 rounds. Players can view their individual quotas by clicking on the "Current Quotas" page on this website. The entry fee for Players still establishing a Quota is $10. Players with an established quota is $20 which is distributed to the prize pool as follows:
$10 - to the Cash pool for all plus points(Qualified Players Only)
$5 - for Skins in your Handicap Category
$4 - to the Cash pool for Closest to the Pin contests
$1 - to the pool for league operations and Website costs
The results are tabulated at the end of the round and Players who beat their own quota, get a skin or a Closest to the pin (Greenie) will Cash. If you are a winner all prize money will be paid the next time you play. The Results are posted on the Results page each week.

We only start sign ups 1 week in advance, so you can only sign up for next week's event after the prior week's event has concluded. The only exception to this is overnight road trip
scheduled events.
And, you can only sign up yourself and a guest, not other members, they must sign up themselves. If you sign up a guest and they cancel after pairings are made, you are responsible for that guest's entry fee.
If you sign up and then cancel after pairings have been made or no-show,
you are responsible for your entry. You must cancel with the league, not
your playing partners.
Be ready for your tee time 15 minutes early, quite often the course
allows us to start early. If you show up late, you will take 0's on the
holes missed. You cannot make up the first few holes missed after your
round.
